When I arrived in the old harbour of Mykonos I was impressed by the whiteness and beauty of the place and I understood why this island is so well known for its architecture? a pure marvel. You can?t get enough of walking in the narrow, stone-paved alleys. It is true that after a few days the crowd and the noise of this very lively town (and beaches too) can be tiring but you can always found a shelter in the small village of Elia (you will need a car because buses can not be trusted). Or you can stay a day or two and go to another island-there are lots of connections. Don?t fail to take a walk or have a drink in the place called Little Venice: it?s a superb waterfront with colourful houses which have been turned in bars and cafes, from where the view is relaxing-better go there during the day because it becomes really crowded at nights. And don?t forget to visit the small island of Delos, which is deserted and full of archaeological finds.
