Simply outstanding

I have been on Mykonos for 8 times since '95.
A lot of fantastic beaches (20 more or less) in only 85 square km, wonderful sea, nightlife, nice people (in June-early July and late August-September, full of the worst Italians during the rest part of summer).
Mykonos has all you need.
Do you... More >

Before getting on Mykonos I had a good idea of what it would be like. Many friends had visited before and I had seen innumerable photos of it. It is a lovely island, with amazing beaches, friendly people and very authentic. Work needs to be done with public transport, as more frequent service is... More >
Very expensive

Chora is very pretty and has everything you need for a short break. 4 days is as long as you'd want to stay in Mykonos as it's very small and not much going on. Also, 4 days is probably all people could afford. 5 euros for two cups of tea is a complete rip-off. 18 euros for two vodka and lemonades... More >
Mykonos was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed at the Hermes Hotel which had the most amazing view of Mykonos town and the ocean. No two words can describe. A picture perfect view. Generally, stay just above Mykonos town. Most places above it have a sensational view of the town and of the ocean and... More >
Don't go to Mykonos if you are looking for a nice, relaxaing place. You will get tired after a few days and in the end music will sound like noise to you. Villages there are very nice, all coloured in white and blue. Beaches are wonderful, I couldn't imagine that Greek sea would be so beautiful.... More >

Last summer in Mykonos, I heard some tourists talking about ghosts and vampires, but didn't pay much attention.
As I was searching the Net a few hours ago, I found the following page www.shroudeater.com/cmykonos.htm
It says that there was a vampire that died on Mykonos in 1701 and that... More >
I think you will find good food everywhere in Mykonos, but the restaurants in Little Venice have the best and most special view. Taverns by the sea are found in every beach in all Greek islands, but only Mykonos has such a lovely neighbourhood like Little Venice. Fresh fish in a table just by the... More >

Most of all I loved the clubs of Mykonos (anyway, this is why Mykonos is known!). I mean reaaaly nice clubs, nice people, vivid atmosphere, great cocktails... Aaah, you Greeks know how to party! I envy you for having such a lively island! Best Club Cavo Paradiso, especially if you like electro... More >
As it was a bit off season (early September), nightlife on Mykonos wasn't as wild as we expected but we enjoyed the sea the most. This was the most appealing part of the island for me. The relaxed athmosphere and the lovely inhabitants of the island helped me have a great time. Food was not th best... More >
Enjoy sightseeing

We are too old for nightlife (71), so we prefered sightseeing in Mykonos. Chora is beautiful and has romantic spots, such as Little Venice and the windmills at sunset, but it has a lot of traffic, especially in August, when we went. We also enjoyed Ano Mera and Delos. The food on Mykonos is very... More >
