Mykonos has two villages, Chora and Ano Mera. Chora is the most popular spot on the island and the centre of all activities in summer. It stands out for its picturesque architecture and the tourist facilities. Ano Mera is, however, a small and quiet village that doesn't get that frequented as Chora.

Location: On the western side of Mykonos island
Description: Mykonos Town or Chora is the capital and the most picturesque village on the island. With traditional architecture and a lovely ambience, Mykonos distinguishes for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and the vivid nightlife. The landmarks of Chora are the windmills on top of a hill, the nice quarter Little Venice and the famous pelican of Mykonos.
Location: 8 km east of Chora
Description: Ano Mera is the second largest village on Mykonos and the only inland settlement. Is is famous for the monastery of Panagia Tourliani and the calm beaches that are found in a small distance.
Location: 2 km south of Chora
Description: Glastros is not actually a village but a small settlement in close distance from Chora. Some summer houses and hotels can be found there.
