We took a ferry from Athens to Mykonos and when the ferry stopped we got off because we didn't understand what was being said and we assumed it was
Mykonos. It was not and so we had to buy another ticket for the next ferry. We asked if we could just finish the trip on the next ferry since we got off by accident and our ticket said we should be in Mykonos, they said no. We felt ripped off but in the end we unbderstood it was not the company's mistake, but our mistake to get down earlier. Anyway...
Thank God, Mykonos was worth all the trouble. I have always wanted to visit Greece and the minute we got there, I felt like home. I loved it! Not much open (we went very early, April 1-3). The clubs were closed, the bars were closed, mostly everyone was getting ready for the tourist season, so we didn't really get to experience that but the restaurants were great, the people were very nice, and it was so beautiful it was almost unreal! No beach time of course, but walking along the beach was superb. It felt very romantic! Hotel was nice too, although we were the only guests in 10 rooms! Apparently it was too early to go vacations in Greece, but still we had the best time.
