Not at all what I expected

The trip: I arrived on the Mykonos by plane with the Alitalia and by boat with the Hellenic Seaways Highspeed 5. The trip was very good with no delays. Flight out of Barcelona and boat departing Piraeus
Reasons for going to Mykonos: Proposed by friends
Idea about Mykonos before arriving: After booking trip to Mykonos we discovered more and more information on it being a top gay destination. That wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but we went anyway and we were presently surprised that it fact it wasn't that at all. Sure there are plenty of gays around but you can say that about anywhere, and plus it's Greece, so there you go. Everything else was not what I expected at all. Beaches were beautiful as were the people. Food, unfortunately did not meet my expectations as there are many good restaurants and just as many bad ones. It's hard to distinguish between the two until you actually sit down and eat. Everything else was just like the travel books told me. Hot sunny and really windy and a nightlife unparallel anywhere else
