Nice island but a bit expensive

What I saw of the island was vey nice. The beaches were packed, but we did travel during a greek national holiday. However, I believe that the ebaches on Mykonos are packed during the whole of the summer season. The sea is glorious, so clear and blue. Nightlife for me was dinner and a couple of bars, although I think I was in bed before the real partying commenced. The food on Mykonos is of high quality, but very expensive. So are the refresments on the beaches, one bar charged 6 euros for a beer, which I though was very expensive.
