Unfortunately we thought that 3 days would be enough to enjoy Mykonos but it turned that we needed at least a couple more days! There are so many things to do on the beach that eventually you don't actually have the time for sightseeing. We tried to split our time but we missed something from both.
Chora is actually a small village but it has nice spots: the windmills, the old port, Little Venice, the small squares in the town centre. We loved the shops in Chora and the cafes at Little Venice. So relaxing moments and the sea actually reached our feet! The second day we took the boat to Delos, a small historical island with many antiquities and a museum. It was sad that there was such a mess in the museum of Delos. The exhibits were not labelled and if they were, it was hard to understand the archaeological terms. Also some wooden stands would be nice in Delos, the sun burnt us walking all the island with no shade at all. Generally I am not happy with the museums in Greece. The big archaeological sites (Mycenae and Olympia, for example) are open till sunset but the small museums on the islands close at noon, which is very restricting.
Beaches on
Mykonos are amazing and it is sad that we went only to two of them (Paradise and Paranga). I am sure the other would be great, too! Maybe we come one day back to enjoy our holidays better. But still those two were nice. Great people, great music and bars, watersports. much fun! What else you want? We rode the banana and tried some windsurfing, but it was too damn hard to balance! How can you do it, people? We kept falling and falling all the time, till we gave up!
