The plane flight from Athens to Mykonos was very short. There are plenty of cabs if your hotel does not provide pick up transportation. It was about 10 euro to Platis Yialos (also known as Platis Gialos). Taxi driver had a card with the prices to different parts of town with him. It looked like an official government price list. As to see it when you ask the price to your destination. People we met took the ferry from Athens and said while long, about 5 hours, it was pleasant. And cheaper than the plane. BUT you can get a really reduced fare on Agean Airlines if you take one of the really early flights. Our 7:00 a.m. flight was $35.
