Mykonos Review:
Most people we spoke to agreed that staying at a family beach like Platis Yialos was best, because it was calm and quite during the day. It is easy for the young set to get to Mykonos Town or Paradise Beach for the evening clubs, and relax during the day. For young adults traveling there, staying right in Mykonos Town is best. They can take a 10 minute bus ride to the beach during the day, and go back to town in the evening. All the buses go to Mykonos Town, so when they leave the clubs in the late evening they are already in town or can get an easy ride there. If they are staying on the beach, they must go to Mykonos Town first, then get another bus to the beach. NOTE: buses stop running after about 1 or 2 a.m., so be sure to check the schedule. About the clubs, the stories are correct - Mykonos has some of the BEST clubbing around. 20 somethings will not regret going there. We felt quite safe, even amongst the crowds in Mykonos Town. The only thing missing were trash bins on the beaches. When we bought food from local superetts and ate on the beach, it was very difficult to find a place to toss the trash. People finally gave up looking and left the trash on the beach. There should be some bins available.
