The isolated sandy beaches of Panormos and Agios Sostis are located on the northern coast of the island.
They have gold sand, forming low dunes in some parts and crystalline waters. They are calm beaches, easily reachable by private car or motorbike.
Panormos Mykonos: Panormos is much calmer than other beaches. It is very empty out of season. A big beach bar is locared there which suggests that it can get a lot busier in peak season.
 
Agios Sostis: Unlike the majority of beaches on the island, an effort must be done to access this beach. Descending a slightly treacherous path on the rocks, you find yourself on bright, deep sand. The beach is about 250m long with no development upon it. It is nicely sheltered from the wind. Some nudists frequent this beach.

Our Impressions

If you can put up with a slightly longer trip, the lack of shops/bars etc... and are after a tranquil beach with a nice view then Panormos and Agios Sostis are ideal. Because it is a bit of a trek from the hora it is unlikely that this beach ever gets too busy.

- Where to eat/drink: There is a large beach bar on Panormos which looks nice
- Shops/Minimarket: None
- Telephone: None
- Transportation: You need your own transport to get here and there is not much room to park.
- Beach Activities: Volleyball court and two trampolines on Panormos
