Hi, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Spain. In the summer of 2006 I visited Greece and the island of Mykonos.
My accommodation was located in Platis Gialos. We were looking for a beach without a lot of people so we decided to go to Kalafatis beach, since it was recommended on a brochure as such. It took us only 15 minutes to get there by car. The trip to
Mykonos was normal and the road was perfectly indicated.
The waters were clear, clean and calm. It is a beach that is both organized and unspoiled. There is no vegetation and it is cheap.
Close to the beach were restaurants, cafes, bars, water sports activities, hotels and other accommodations.
My favorite thing about it was the Gratis umbrella and the calm beach.
The only thing I would recommend to the authorities is to clean the sand, so it would be with no cigarettes.
