Pollonia is just a regular small village where you go to eat or to catch a boat for Kimolos. That's it.
I must say we weren't really content with our restaurant, although everyone says that it is not possible to eat bad there. :)

Adamas is Milos port and a place you won't miss even if you want.
It is just an average port and you won't get Naxos port or old town there. Just a regular, average spot which nevertheless has everything you need- you go there to shop, eat or appoint your boat tour.
The only "problem" is (I said the same for Plaka) that it is small. If you went for a walk in Adamas, you'll pass it in 15 minutes unless you decide to continue outside the centre and walk along the road leading to other places.

Category: Milos Tripiti

Tripiti is historically important village for the following three things:
- Ancient theatre
- Remnants of ancient Milos
- Catacombs
So, it's an absolute must. Don't go to Milos without visiting these three landmarks.
Its appearance is nothing special, but you go there for these three things.

Plaka may not be THAT excellent, but when you have in mind that Milos itself is not touristically developed, Plaka is the place with most joy.
- It has wonderful and absolutely magnificent view over Milos
- View, view, did I say view?
- Two museums (Archaeological, Folklore)
- The most non-industrial souvenir shops are here
- Nice architecture, typical for old towns in this area, with flowers and colourful streets, although small

The things is that it is small. It takes you ten minutes to walk around the beautiful part, ten minutes for each museum... but ok.

Tripiti and catacombs, ancient theatre, ancient Milos and Klima are near, within normal walking distance.

Eating was small problem, because we somehow got back several times on the most famous restaurant there, although not perfect, because we didn't know where else to go. The other one we tried was so horrible that we decided - no more experiments :)

Category: Milos Tripiti

I came back in Italy but my soul remined in Tripiti, in the windmill of Evripides, the family which owns the restaurant "Methismeni Politia" (Drunken City).
At down I saw an old man going slowly to the port with his donkey, in the evening I met Mrs Evripides who spoke me only Greek and I felt that if I had payed enough attention I would have found the way to understand, inside my soul. She gived me five eggs from her chicken and I felt she was the Ancient Cycladic Goddess of life, death, regeneration.
She had two sons and five nephew, pente pedakia, she said, and I told I have two kores.
When I sat down on the stones of the garden, they were so warm and soft, as they were a sofa.

Category: Milos Plaka

Plaka is the capital of Milos but it is actually not much developed. I thought Adamas was more appropriate for tourists. Plaka is nice to go for a walk and have a coffee. But there are no big bars to have fun, just some pubs spread here and there. It has some places to stay, but I would advice you to choose somewhere close to the beach and especially if you are young and crazy for nightlife.
