Milos Villages: Tripiti village in Milos Tripiti Village Milos: Near Plaka is the lovely village of Tripiti, in an area with a rich history which was particularly prosperous during the Classical and Hellenistic periods. The village stands on a hill sloping down the sea and owes its name to its land, which composed by soft volcanic rock, and gives the impression of having being perforated (= tripiti). Picturesque white windmills stand on the highest point of the village, some of which have been transformed into elegant rooms for rent. Tripiti is famous for its excellent taverns, specialised in tasty appetisers.
