exhibited, visitors can admire a beautiful copy of the striking statue of the Venus de Milo, a statuette of rare craftsmanship (the Lady of Phylakope), some well preserved painted vases, figurines, statues, carvings, coins and a 6th century BC funeral urn. The statue of Poseidon, found in Milos is now exhibited at the National Museum in Athens.

Everything is recreated like it used to be in those times: life-sized figures are dressed with local costumes and placed in various places of the house (kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and storeroom), doing everyday life things, in the same way people were doing then.
Various house utensils, embroidery, old photographs and hand woven textiles are exhibited in the Folk Museum of Milos. |
