Located in the centre of Plaka, the capital of Milos, the archaeological museum of Milos was founded in 1985 and is housed in a beautiful neo-classical building.
The museum has many archaeological findings which represent the history of the island since the Neolithic age.

History and Folk Museum of Milos |

This museum is a short distance away from the Archaeological
Museum. It is housed in a 200 year old two-storey house
and was founded in 1967 by the Union of Athenian Miloans.
The entire exhibition is a reconstitution of the Miloan
life from the 17th century and then on. |

Mining Museum / Mineralogical Museum |

This museum is located in Adamas, on the waterfront, 500 metres to the right of the central square of the village.
It is a new museum with some interesting geological exhibits, retracing the entire long Milos’ history of mining, which begun in the Neolithic times.
