Milos Paleochori beach

General information

Paleochori Beach in Milos can be spotted in the namesake village, on the south side of the island. Its origin is volcanic, which explains the vibrant red and yellow colors, as well as the distinctive rock formations that are prominent in the area.
It showcases incredible crystal-clear waters that seem to change color depending on the time of the day.
Additionally, it features a unique seabed, where warm bubbles can be seen emerging, explained by the amount of sulfur in the soil’s consistency.
On the shore, sparkling sand and pebbles coexist, while its spot provides great protection from the strong northern winds common in the Cyclades, making it ideal for families with children.

The beach is divided into three parts, with the middle one being organized, offering sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, as well as showers and changing cabins. A beach bar serves refreshing beverages and tasty snacks to enjoy by the water, while water sports facilities have been set up. Furthermore, several taverns and cafes are available on the coast, perfect for having lunch on the beach.
Those who prefer a quieter and calmer environment can follow the path from the main beach, going left or right to either side, where no facilities exist.

    Big colourful wild musical
Paleochori is one of the most colourful beaches on Milos. Its red and yellow rocks make it look cheerful and wild.
The beach is big, has beach equipment and very nice chill-out music on the left side.
It is a little wild, because the water is very deep two meters from the coast, so it's not really for kids and non-swimmers.
The only negative part for me is the "entrance" into the water. Although the beach is sandy, the beginning of sea bed has big pebbles and it makes it a little inconvenient.
