Swimming tour north beaches
General Description
This swimming tour gives visitors the chance to swim in the most important beaches on the northern side of Milos island, Cyclades.
First beach: Papafragas
Departing from Pollonia at 10:00 am, our first stop is Papafragas. This is an impressive complex of sea caves formed by volcanic activity. There is a small beach to swim and many visitors actually try snorkeling to explore the underwater caves.
Second beach: Alogomandra
We continue to Alogomandra beach, a small, sandy and unorganized beach with crystal waters. This beach is surrounded by a white rock and is also great for snorkeling.
Third beach: Sarakiniko
Next stop is Sarakiniko, the most photographed spot of Milos. This fantastic place is a rock of white stone formed by lava explosion millions of years ago. Sarakiniko actually looks like lunar landscape and has a small sandy beach. Many visitors also jump from the rocks to the sea and snorkel the underwater caves beneath the white rock of Sarakiniko.
Last beach: Firopotamos
Our last stop is the beach of Firopotamos. This is an organized beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bar and trees on the beach to provide natural shade. The crystal water and the relaxing atmosphere make Firopotamos an enjoyable place for swimming. The beach is found next to the fishing village of Firopotamos, a place with traditional Cycladic style. The houses of Firopotamos are white, with colorful doors and boat garages at the ground floor.
We return in Pollonia at around 16:00 pm. In every beach, there will be enough time to swim, while the guide will give a brief talk on the local history and geology.
NOTE: In case of strong winds on the northern side of Milos, the tour will take place at the southern side of the island and will include the beaches of Firiplaka, Agia Kyriaki and Paleochori.
Transfers: The tour starts from Pollonia. However, we offer free transfer from Adamas or Plaka (just mention it in the comments field during the booking procedure). We can also offer transfer from Paleochori or Provatas with extra cost (select this choice during the booking procedure). If you need transfer from another place, tell us to see if we can provide it.
