Kythnos Nightlife, Greece: Information about the nightlife in Kythnos island

The nightlife of Kythnos is not so wild as in other islands. It is more of a quiet island and most visitors go there to find some peace and relax. Therefore only a few bars and clubs can be found in certain areas.
The essential of the nightlife in Kythnos is concentrated in the harbour of Merihas. There you will find most of the clubs and bars of the island that play loud music and stay open till morning. Some of these clubs are seaside and often organize beach parties.
Loutra, the second most popular resort of Kythnos, is mostly prefered by older people due to the thermal spas that exist in the area and are said to have healing properties. Therefore there aren't but a few bars where you can have a drink.
During summer, the island comes alive with the flow of tourists and this is when most bars open, since almost all of them are closed in winter. Local festivals are also held and are ideal for those who want to dance on traditional folk music of the island. |
