We went to Koufonisia for two days from Naxos. This was our first time to this beautiful island with the gorgeous beaches. You will find the best water there and the cheapest food. Get the boat to Kato Koufonisi, that is not inhabited and try the beaches there. Gorgeous!! This is the cleanest water ever! Hike around the island and eat in small taverns next to the sea. You can have fresh fish at the cheapest price. I always said that Kefalonia had the cheapest places in Greece but Koufonisia is even cheaper! We usually paid 20 euros for two people, that is a really good price for Greece. Stay in a room in the village, you will find plenty of them once you get off the ferry.
