This old Medieval quarter is called Kastro, as it used to be protected by castle walls. Houses are made of stone and so are the paved streets all around it.

Another settlement in Kimolos island is Psathi, with few houses and tourist facilities around the port. A small beach is found there, which gets very popular due to its closeness to the port. Other beautiful beaches in Kimolos island include Agios Georgios, Aliki and Kalamitsi, all sandy and unorganized.
