The port of Iraklia island is Agios Georgios, on the northern side, while a few km in the inland, there is the main village, Panagia, with few houses and only the necessary facilities.

In a walking distance from the port of Iraklia, there are some wonderful beaches, with sandy shore and crystal water. Agios Georgios and Livadi are great for swimming, while many secret coves can also be found in the southern side of Iraklia island. With the legendary ferry "Skopelitis" that runs the itineraries between Naxos, Amorgos and the Small Cyclades, Iraklia can be visited for a daily excursion and can also be combined with other small islands, such as Schinoussa, Koufonisia and Donoussa.
