Iraklia: Panagia Iraklia

Panagia Village Iraklia: Panagia is a small, mountainous village on the southern part of Iraklia. Its architectural style is pure Cycladic, with traditional neighbourhoods crossed by paved paths. Around Panagia, there are a lot of small chapels, like the churches of Saint Nektarios and of Virgin Mary.

From Panagia, you can walk to the cave of Saint John, which has wonderful formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and to the chapel of Prophet Elijah, located on the highest peak of Iraklia.
