Museum of Modern Art at Kolitsani in Ios: The small but beautiful cove of Kolitsani is located between the port of Gialos and Mylopotas to its west. On walking up to it, you will discover that it is divided into two parts by a cliff.
Most people visit Kolitsani just to laze around and gaze into the sea and be enraptured by it but this area infact has one of the most famous and must-see museums in all of Ios. It is called the Museum of Modern Art or “Jean Marie Dro”. It is also called the “Drot- Gaiti” and houses the breathtaking works of many talented artists from all over the world.
Anyone and everyone who appreciates fine art and has a good taste for it should definitely make it a point to pay a visit to this museum while staying at Ios. |
