The permanent residents of Antiparos are protesting against the transfer of the only nurse in their Health Centre to the Health Centre of Paros, which already has 6 nurses. As the residents say, the excuse for this transfer is that Paros has more needs in view of the tourist season. However, the residents do not forget that a few years ago, the two doctors of Antiparos were tranfered to Serifos island and their island was left only with a nurse to take care of the 1,000 permanent inhabitants and the tourists who flow there every summer. Now, with the transfer of this nurse, they are left without medical care. The residents have already sent a letter of protest to the Minister of Health, asking for the immediate substitution of their nurse.
