Korthi Beach Andros: Korthi is a sandy beach with crystalline waters and a lovely surrounding. It is located on the southern side of Andros, few km from Chora, the capital of the island.
The beach of Korthi, in a walking distance from the tourist village of Ormos, is perfect to swim, on both sides of the bay and offers the right conditions for windsurfing and other water sports. A windsurfing school is also located here. Most of the restaurants, taverns and bars are found along the shore.
Close to Korthi, there is a famous and secluded beach called "Pidima tis Grias", meaning the "Jump of the Old Lady". The beach took its name when an old lady in the past jumped to the beach to get killed in order to save herself from the Ottomans.
