To/ From Katapola
Ferries connect Piraeus to Katapola, the capital of Amorgos, and the trip takes about 9 hours. Katapola is also linked with other Aegean islands, such as Mykonos (2 hours by hydrofoil), Folegandros (about 1 hour by hydrofoil), Heraklion, Crete (3 hours and a half by hydrofoil), Kos (5 hours by ferry), Koufonisia (about 40 minutes by ferry), Leros (3 hours and a half by ferry), Mykonos (2 hours by hydrofoil), Naxos (3 hours by ferry and 1 hour by hydrofoil), Paros (4 hours by ferry), Patmos (2 hours by ferry), Rhodes (8 hours by ferry), Schinousa (1 hour and a half by ferry), Syros (6 hours by ferry) and Santorini (1 hour and a quarter by hydrofoil).
To/ From Aegiali
Aegiali, to the north of the island, is connected to Piraeus by normal ferries and the trip takes about 8 hours. Aegiali is also connected to Astypalea (1 hour and a half), Iraklia (3 hours), Koufonisia (1 hour and a half), Naxos (4 hours and a half), Paros (6 hours), Schinousa (4 hours and a half) and Syros (8 hours). Only ferries depart from Aegiali, not hydrofoils.
