Amorgos Maltezi beach

General information

Maltezi Beach in Amorgos is situated northwest of the port of Katapola. It is a sandy beach and one of the most picturesque on the island.

The beach is not affected by the meltemia winds. Its waters are bluish-green and the sand is fine. Due to these qualities, it has remained one of the favorite beach destinations among tourists.

Maltezi can be accessed by a water taxi from Katapola. Alternatively, one can go on foot and walk a trail for about 30 minutes, passing through the settlement of Xilokeratidi.
