Plakias Crete Rethymno: Plakias is a traditional fishing village which has been turned into the busiest touristy resort of the prefecture of Rethymno.
The village welcomes numerous visitors attracted and charmed by this pretty coastal village, its mild and dry climate and its sandy beach extending on 1500 metres that offers amazingly crystalline waters.

Some superb beaches can be found in the surrounding area, such as the coves of Souda, Amoudi and Damioni, a wonderful

beach of white sand of 600 meters with appealing clear waters.

Plakias is located on the southern coast of Crete and is one of the most beautiful villages of the area. Visitors will find numerous accommodations of all categories, plenty of restaurants and fish taverns, lively bars and clubs and sunny cafes.

Boats to the superb Preveli Monastery, the imposing Frangokastello and the coastal village of Agia Galini regularly leave from the small port of Plakias.
