The Trip: I arrived on the island by Plane with "My Travel". The trip was good with no delays.
Reasons for going to Rethymno: Discovered on the Internet and visited Chania area previously
Idea before arriving: As Crete is a large island with many resorts and varying in landscape it is ideal for most people. Just need to take care when selecting resort
Favorite things about the island/area
-Best Beaches: Not main Plakias beach but those surrounding
-Best Villages: Mythios, Stefanos Village in Myrthios is wonderful and I highly recommend
-Best Activity: swimming, donkey riding
-Best Bar/Pub/Club: Any Taverna in Mrythios, very traditional
-Best Restaurant: As Above
Very traditional village with no English food/chips on menu-brilliant
Recommendations for future visitors: You must visit Stefanos Village in Myrthios if you enjoy traditional Greek holidays. Fabulous views, wonderful family but car ia a necessity
