We stayed in a small hotel in Panormos to be close to the beach. Last time in Crete we had stayed in a hotel in the Old Town of Chania to be more picturesque, but this year we wanted sandy beaches and lazy days under the sun. Panormos has many umbrellas and sun beds. I particularly liked to go swim in the evening because it was less crowded.
