Lassithi: Sissi Lassithi

Crete Sissi Lassithi: Sissi is a lovely tourist village in the borders of Lassithi and Heraklion. It is found 26 km north west of Agios Nikolaos and 41 km east of Heraklion. Over the last years, Sissi has developed in tourism and its small port hosts many yachts and boats in summer. Although it has partly kept its authentic character, the village of Ano Sissi (Upper Sissi) at a distance of 2 km to the east is much more traditional.

There are many beaches to swim around Sissi, such as the sandy beach of Boufos, the pebbled beach of Avlaki and other less organized coves. You will also find many delicious taverns by the sea and some lounge cafeterias to relax.
