General information

Makrigialos is a picturesque resort situated in the south part of Siteia and also known as a great tourist destination in Crete. The big village offers many different types of accommodation from hotels to studios and villas surrounded by the amazing Cretan landscape.

Tourists can enjoy their holidays and swim in the crystal clear water of various beaches. For example, Kalamokania is an isolated, sandy beach located in the west part of the village, while Katovigli is an organized beach where sunbeds and umbrellas are provided. Moreover, one of the most popular beaches is the sandy Makrigialos – also known as Hani – due to its clean yet shallow waters.

The village is easily accessible by different means of transportation (ship, bus, airplane, car etc.) and it offers a lot of facilities. Nearby, there are a lot of taverns and restaurants, bars and cafeterias, supermarkets and pharmacies.
