Museum of the Monastery of Toplou |

The historic Toplou Monastery is situated 16 kilometres east of the town of Sitia and houses a small museum exhibiting various valuable and superb Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons dating from the 15th century to the 18th century.

This museum is housed in the ground floor of the Port Police building in Agios Nikolaos and exhibits fine examples of folk art such as woodcarving, weaving and embroideries as well as local traditional costumes and a few Byzantine icons.

| The Archaeological Museum of Ierapetra |

This museum is housed in the Commercial Ottoman School building, offered by the Municipality of Ierapetra to the Ministry of Culture.
It was founded at the end of the 19th century and exhibits various items dating from the Minoan, the Geometric, the Archaic, the Classical (and Hellenistic) and the Roman periods.
The town of Ierapetra is lying on the southern coast of Crete, 35 kilometres south of Agios Nikolaos.
