Lassithi: Palekastro Lassithi

Crete Palekastro Lassithi: The beautiful beach of Palekastro is located on the easternmost coast of Crete, 90 east of Agios Nikolaos, facing the islet of Grandes. The sand is fine and the waters crystal, while the strong wind that blows in the afternoon make this beach a popular place for windsurfing.

Important Minoan ruins have been excavated in the area near Palekastro. Few tourist facilities exist in the region, which make it an ideal destination for some peace and privacy.
