Lassithi Beaches: Makrigialos beach in Lassithi Greece Crete Makrigialos Lassithi: The coastal village of Makrigialos is lying 24 kilometres east of Ierapetra and 63 kilometres south-east of Agios Nikolaos, in the centre of Kala Nera (Good Waters) Bay. Because of its long white sandy beach and its crystalline blue waters, Makrigialos has developed into one of the most important touristy resorts of the area. In the village, some archaeological excavations have brought to light ruins of a Minoan Mansion.
