Lassithi Beaches: Islet Hrisi beach in Lassithi Greece Crete Islet of Hrissi Lassithi: On the deserted islet of Hrissi (Golden Island), south of Ierapetra, visitors will find a subtropical landscape consisting of white sandy beaches, thick cedar forests and emerald waters. To reach this paradise one has to take the small fishing boat living at 10.00 am from Ierapetra and returns back at 5.00 pm. An excellent fish tavern is situated on the islet and offers fresh fish that has been caught the same morning. This place is ideal for scuba diving because the underwater scenery is marvellous. More fine beaches can be found in the touristy resort of Elounda, nearby Agios Nikolaos, in the resort of Sitia, in the touristy Shisma and along the southern coast of the prefecture.
