Lassithi: Elounda Crete Lassithi

Crete Elounda Lassithi: This is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Crete, located about 70 km east of Heraklion Airport and 11 km north of Agios Nikolaos Lasithi. Elounda is a well-organized beach with many sundecks, umbrellas and water sports offered to visitors. Along its length, the waters are crystal clear and the shore is sandy.

Besides the taverns, restaurants and bars there is a living village with all amenities. On the northern side of Elounda, there is a large beach which is mainly rocky located 10 km from Agios Nikolaos. This part of the coast has remained completely unspoiled and offers minus facilities. The visitors come here only for nudism and privacy. The only thing that visitors can access from there are some rooms located near Elounda.

Elounda is among the most popular tourist resorts in Crete. Some excursions boats make the route to Spinalonga, a former lepper colony about an hour way by boat.
