Lassithi Beaches: Ammoudara beach in Lassithi Greece Crete Ammoudara Lassithi: Ammoudara is a long beach situated 5 km to the south of Agios Nikolaos town, on the road to Ierapetra. It is actually a bay and therefore not affected by the summer winds that blow so often on the Greek islands. Both the seashore and the seafloor are sandy and the waters are clear. Ammoudara beach is amongst the most crowded beaches in Lassithi because it is well-organized with sun-beds, umbrellas, seaside accomodation options and delicious taverns.
