Heraklion Tertsa beach

General information

Tertsa Heraklion: Between the tourist resorts of Myrtos and Psari Forada and 88 km south east of Heraklion town is the lovely beach of Tertsa. Protected by strong winds and with a long sandy coast, Tertsa is still a quiet and relaxing place for vacations.

Some traditional taverns and hotels are located around the beach, which is not much developed and has no sunbeds or umbrellas.

Few people live permanently in Tertsa and mostly occupy with tourism, fishing and agriculture. Surrounded by high mountains and traditional Cretan villages, Tertsa is a nice place to unwind and get a view of rural life in Crete.
