Heraklion: Kokkinos Pyrgos Heraklion

Crete Kokkinos Pyrgos Heraklion: About 67 km south west of Heraklion Town and 3 km west of Tymbaki, there is the small and sandy beach of Kokkinos Pyrgos. As this beach is frequently affected by strong winds, the beach doesn't get very popular in August, the month when most summer winds called meltemia blow over Crete.

In close distance to Kokkinos Pyrgos, there are some fish taverns and rooms to rent. Next to the beach, there is a small protected port for fishing boats to moor and repair.
