Heraklion and Chania airports are proposing regular flights to Athens, Greece (both trips take about 45 minutes), Thessaloniki (about 1 hour and a half). The airport of Heraklion also organizes flights to Rhodes (1 hour).
These two airports also receive charter flights from abroad, mainly from European cities.
Crete also has a small airport close to Sitia which proposes only domestic flights to/from Athens and Karpathos.
