The first time I visited Crete was three years ago and since then we go there every summer. Except for the great scenery, I also find good people and nice food there. This summer, our hotel owner in Maleme was a woman and she was cooking deliciously. Mrs Ntina was kind enough to give me some cooking advices and Cretan recipes. Now, back home, I have already prepared Dakos, onion pies and spinach pie with feta cheese. I found some good feta cheese in the local market, even here in Chicago. I believe that these dishes are not only tasteful but also healthy for the children. I have heard many scientists saying so, because most of these dishes are based on vegetables and natural products.
