We went to Chania by flight from Barcelona, there are some good and direct flights, since the Athens Airport is not convenient. However, when you arrive, pay attention to the taxi fares, they charged us three times more. Otherwise, our holiday was fine. Wonderful beaches, great food, nice people and lots of bars. We stayed in Elafonissos and rented a car to explore the rest of Crete. I liked better the fort of Frangokastelo and enjoyed the myth about it, about the ghosts that come off the sea once a year.
