Chania Tavronitis beach
Tavronitis Chania: Tavronitis beach belongs to the traditional Cretan farming village Tavronitis set on the northern coast of Crete. The bay of Tavronitis has a clean pebbly beach, where you can enjoy the sun sitting under the umbrellas and sun beds.

Being not much tourist developed, the long beach is generally secluded and vacant with only a couple of beachfront taverns where you can rent amenities.

Anyone can enjoy playing in the shallow pebble floored waters with a beautiful view of the bare mountains of the Kissamos peninsula stretching northwards on the left of the beach. Tamarisk trees line the back of the beach offering plenty of shade. You can stroll around the fresh flat farmlands behind the beach, while villas are available if you are interested in a relaxing stay.

The small village community has a bank, supermarket and a cake shop. Highly developed town of Platanias is just a few minutes drive to the east. Tavronitis can be reached by 20 minutes drive along the national road from Chania towards Kastelli.
