General information

Kolimbari Beach is located 24 km west of Chania Town, nestled between the flat cliffs of the Kissamos Peninsula. It’s a long, sandy shore, with fine pebbles in some places, that doesn’t get very crowded.

The beach is clean with shallow blue waters, giving you the chance to swim and sunbathe while gazing at the magnificent view of the green cliffs. In the busier part of the coast, you will find some sunbeds, umbrellas, and showers. Around the area, there are a few tasteful fish taverns and a beautiful traditional café built of stone. If you’re looking for a place to stay, you can choose from the resorts located on the hills around Kolimbari, offering an endless view of the beach and the old fishing jetty. Nearby, you can also see a war memorial.
