Attica Weather

Information about the Weather in Attica, in Greece but also information about the weather in Athens (average temperatures and forecast): The peninsula of Attica enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Summer is long and dry and temperatures can reach 40-43oC in the hottest months (July and August), although in the coastal regions a refreshing breeze might blow in the evenings to cool down the heat.

Winter is chilly in the center of Athens, where temperatures usually do not fall under 2-3oC. Although it rarely snows in the center of Athens, snowing can be more frequent in the northern suburbs of Attica, where the temperature is also a few degrees lower.
