It is expected that the underground trains to the International Airport of Athens will work again at the end of August. After six months of break, since February 2009, testing itineraries will start in the middle of August and at the end of the month or early September the most, the metro trains will run again till the airport and one more metro station will open to public, the new Nomismatokopeio Station, after the station of Ethiniki Amina (blue line). This station will serve 30,000 passengers daily and will have a parking area for 630 cars. For present, passengers to the Athens Airport have to take the buses from Syntagma, Piraeus or Ethniki Amina.
