Honouring the 100 years since the birth of Yannis Tsarouchis, Benaki Museum in Athens is organizing the largest exhibition with works of this important painter who marked the modern Greek culture and formed the image of the Greek national sense. In cooperation with the Yannis Tsarouchis Foundation and the Cultural Foundation of the Bank of Cyprus, this exhibition will include 670 works of the painter that have been collected from foundations, museums and private collections in Greece and abroad.
The exhibition will be presented in the building of Piraeos str, 138, in a space of 1,800 sq.m. and it is going to be the largest exhibition of this important painter, who marked with his work the modern art and theatre. After Athens, the exhibition will be transfered to Cyprus.
Working hours: Monday-Tuesday closed, Wednesday-Thursday-Sunday: 10.00-18.00, Friday-Saturday: 10.00-22.00
