Athens Events

The Festival of Science and Technology is organized once more this year from November 28th to December 4th, 2008, in Zappeion Megaron, close to Syntagma square, Athens. The festival is held by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Greek Ministry of Developement, in cooperation with many Greek universities and organizations. Visitors will have the chance to see many pioneer achivements of Greek scientists and watch three-dimensional videos about the history of science. According to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the festival aims on one side to get people -especially students- in touch with techological progress and on the other side to mark the degree of this technological and research progress.
