Athens Events

The cinema Afea- New Star artcinema organizes a Latin-American Cinema Festival. The event will take place from October 23th to October 26th. 21 movies from 10 different Latin-American countries will be presented and the spectators will have the chance to get to know better a long and qualitative cinema tradition.

The movies of the festival have gained international awards and they have been presented in many other events. The Latin American Festival has been mainly inspired by the political instability and the ideology of Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Salvador Aliente. More of the modern Latin-American filmmakers are dealing with two themes: the negative affect of the globalisation on their countries and the socio-economic instability that they have to face.

Ticket: 7 euros for a whole day
