Perfect trip in mainland

This was my second visit to Delphi but the first in all other places. Meteora was fantastic and so was Vergina. It was very impressive to walk under the hill and see those tombs and the precious museum exhibits, like the golden crowns of the kings. Thessaloniki is a very lively town and has good food. It was also a good chance for us to meet some old friends in Thessaloniki and have a drink. All hotels were comfortable and in central locations, so they were only a walk away from restaurants and shops. Weather in April was good, not too hot and not too cold. Perfect for a mainland trip in Greece!

This was a nice and comfortable tour. We went to famous towns and ancient sites and the good things is that everything was on time. The guide seemed much experienced and she had a friendly attitude during all the tour. We appreciated her helpful side when a passenger got sick from the windy road and we made two stops until he feels better.

I may sound boring and old, but believe me, this tour is a great opportunity to learn and visit places, so historically superb, that it is really a pity to miss. Greece has many places of historical interest, other than Acropolis. I suggest you take this tour to visit places such as Delphi, Meteora, Vergina and Dion. Personally, I will try to plan another tour, this time to the southern Greece, to visit Mycenae.

My congratulations for your organization and thanks to our guide, for being so good at his job and giving us so interesting information about everything. Thinking about the tour, I cannot ignore my admiration of Meteora. I can always remember that place as another miracle of Greece. On a last note, take the opportunity to explore Thesaloniki. You will find many interesting monuments, museums, churches and a beautiful waterfront. Don't miss the Old Town and don't be afraid to ask the locals about places to go, they seemed quite comfortable with tourists.

Northern Greece is beautiful

Northern Greece was a pleasant surprise for me. I have heard many people saying that Greece has a beautiful mainland and mountainous villages, but still, I didn't expect that to be fair. I enjoyed every single place that we visited. After some thought, I believe Thesaloniki, Kastoria and Delphi were my favorites!

Thesaloniki is a nice city with friendly people that know how to love their city and good food. The only problem about Thesaloniki is that you have to be careful, so that you don't take any extra pounts, like we did! Hard to resist to all these sweets, bakery and delicacies. The city is full of Byzantine churches, they seem to be almost everywhere. Nice places to walk is: around the port, and to a big walking road leading there, full of stores of any kind, sadly I cannot remember the name of the street.

Kastoria was just stunning. The town is mirrored onto the calm waters of the lake, while lots of ducks swim around. A very welcoming small town, with lots of cozy cafes around the lake, lots of restaurants and interesting stores. The only thing that I didn't like was the fur. There was so much fur and leather products for selling around, that just felt wrong and sad, considering my animal protection views.

In Vergina, I will never forget the tomb of the king Phillip, Great Alexander's father. The narration of our guide was stunning. Also, some great monuments and artifacts at the museum there.

I enjoyed a lot this tour and all the places we visited. Everything was arranged in details, even the rooms in the hotels. I had asked for balcony rooms in front and the guide had noted down. Kastoria and Thessaloniki are two gorgeous towns but we spent only a few hours in each of them. There were so many other things that I wanted to see there!! Maybe one day I come back to complete the tour myself. Definetely recommended especially if you don't mind long travelling.
